Fifth grade had a blast learning about all of the useful features of chameleons. Did you know that their fused toes are called "zygodactal"? Our Chameleons lesson came from Sarah Hemendinger,in Arts and Activities,June 2014. We are jazzing them up with unusual horns, spikes, and patterns. Then Students will choose a warm or cool color scheme to color in their chameleon. Later we will paint a wet on wet wash in the opposite color scheme. Warm colored chameleon, cool background, or visa versa. Here are their beginning sketches Come back to see the large colored versions!
