First Grade Clay Apples

We read the Story of John Chapman, called "Johnny Apple Seed" by Steven Kellog. It is a delightful story with great illustrations. We discussed how his biography has become a Tall Tale.
                                                 
Using a pinch pot technique the children formed a half apple pot adding stems, leaves and seeds.
