Finders finished their Paul Klee Fish with warm and cool colors and lines. Then they came into the art room to learn they are using clay! We looked at a picture of a beautiful Poppy. We "smoothed" clay to make petals, and rolled balls for the center part of the flower. Kinders used a tooth brush and water to "score and slip" to attach pieces. Finally they scratched lines into the petals to give them a texture like Poppies.
Each student had their own opinion about the "feel" of the clay and messy hands!
The clay has been fired in the kiln, so next week we will be painting!!!!!!
Come back to see our finished product!
