They viewed pictures of machines and machine parts. Next they took various sizes of bowls and drew 4-5 circles on their papers. We discussed types of lines and shapes. After this discussion, they began to add lines for 'teeth 'around their circles, and shapes inside these gears. Rulers were used to draw connecting rods between some of the gears. Most finished sharpie this week. We will be painting with metallic tempera or watercolors next week. Come back and check it out!
