Kinder Sunflower pots and warm/cool Cats

Kinders were able to mostly take home their Van Gogh Sunflower Pots by Christmas. They are so cute! ( Kinders AND sunflowers!) The children love how smooth and shiny the glaze is.

Now we are learning about warm and cool colors as we read stories about cats. The Kinders traced cat shapes and filled them in with patterns of shapes and lines in different colors of crayons.

 Next we painted over the crayon for a "resist" using warm colors( red, yellow, orange)  of watercolors. 

 We learned about cool colors ( blue, purple, green) to paint an evening sky and fence on really large green paper.
